Testimonials

Sandy, I wanted to let you know that I have just finished The Voice. I had to write and tell you how much I enjoyed reading the stories and poems. I also loved the art work and the pictures of the wonderful writers. It seems that the making of The Voice was not a job but rather a labour of love and friendship. Please pass along my congratulations to all involved.

It is always a pleasure to read the articles written by the Youth in Care Newsletter Project participants. I would like to take this opportunity to commend the Youth Voice of Nova Scotia Society for offering this program. Please extend my congratulations to the youth who contributed to this year’s newsletter.

It is so reassuring that these youth have an outlet in which to share their thoughts and notions as they are very creative and insightful. Far too frequently, I see them not have anything to keep their attention or something to do. This newsletter provides them with a myriad of skills as it gives them ownership of something and empowers them to know that others want to share their experiences that they were brave enough to put out there. Please keep up the great work and know that it is not going unnoticed within the frontline staff that work daily in the lives of these youth.
